Airbus Beluga

The Airbus Beluga is a cargo aircraft designed to carry oversized loads, such as large or irregularly shaped objects. There are two models of Beluga: the BelugaST and the BelugaXL.

 

The BelugaST is built from an Airbus A300 and has a payload capacity of 47 tonnes, with a cargo hold 6 metres longer and 1 metre wider than the A300-600ST Beluga. It can carry loads up to 7.1 metres high and 23 metres long and is used to transport aircraft parts, such as wings, fuselages or horizontal stabilisers.
